The recently refurbished Reid hall is situated directly opposite the Tesco superstore in the centre of the busy market town of Forfar and is within easy walking distance of the main shopping centre.The town with a population of 13,000 attracts a large number of weekend visitors from the surrounding area and is situated within 5 minutes of the A90 Dundee to Aberdeen road and has an excellent bus service from Dundee and Aberdeen which will make it easier for those using public transport to attend the show.

The large main Hall with stage allows  us to situate all the traders and clubs together during the show with the Bring & Buy and the modelling exhibition situated in an easily accessible  smaller hall.
 
FREE CAR PARKING

The Reid Hall has its own off street parking the Free car Parking at the Reid Hall venue was doubled in size in time for SKELP 2008 with the Original carpark at the side and an additional piece of ground to the rear having a tarmac surface laid on it doubling the availability of free parking for those attending SKELP and allowing traders to park right next to the hall for ease of loading and unloading while the adjacent free car parking space for the use of patrons of the Reid hall will allow all the clubs easy access to their cars for the loading and unloading of their games.

The venue also has the added advantage of being situated directly opposite the towns major Tesco superstore (parking for 200 cars), with further free parking within 100 yards walking distance at the Greens Car Park. The Hall is also within easy walking distance of the busy main shopping centre of the Town, which should enable us to attract a larger number of casual visitors and allowing us to showcase the hobby to a wider audience.
